I don't get why on the video they were so horrified about how in the Israeli falafel joint in London 'all the cans of drink were in Hebrew'. Shock horror! Why the hell does everything to do with Palestine and Israel have to become politicised? Down here in Australia my ancestors stole land from the Aboriginees, attempted a slow genocide, didn't even bother to change some place names to 'sound British', and stole the foods of nations all over the world to become our own. The humble meat pie, culinary symbol of Australia, is an English invention. We make 'Aussie Pizzas' and kebabs, shock horror! Australians also sell felafel! Why is no-one enacting cultural boycotts on us? I acknowledge that there is a serious situation in the Middle East but guys, it's just food. I enjoyed the felafel in Israel just as much as I did in the Occupied Territories. To do a symbolic 'boycott' of an Israeli felafel joint in London seems a little infantile to me.
Tear down the settlements, withdraw to 1967 borders and my friends in Israel and the West Bank will be able to live in peace, and not in constant fear of each other.
