يُنشأ بقرار من مجلس الأمناء وحدة تنظيمية مستقلة بمستوى إدارة، يُحدد فيه التبعية الإدارية والوظيفية، والهيكل التنظيمي، ونطاق العمل والمسئوليات والمهام والصلاحيات.

وتتولى الوحدة المذكورة وضع تفاصيل اللوائح الفرعية المنظمة لقرارات إنشائها وأحكام وإجراءات التدقيق والمراجعة الداخلية، وذلك بما يتوافق مع القوانين الصادرة والقرارات والإجراءات المعتمدة من مجلس أمناء الجامعة ومجلس الجامعة والجهات الحكومية المختصة والمعايير المحاسبية المتعارف عليها دولياً.
