2- Letter of Transmittal
- A letter transmittal should be included, when the relationship between the researcher and the client is formal.
- It is appropriate when a report is for a specific client (e.g. a company officer) and when it is generated for an outside organization.
- The letter should refer to the authorization for the project and any specific instructions or limitations placed on the study.
- It should also state the purpose and the scope of the study. It is not necessary to include a letter of transmittal , for many internal projects.
