Dear Edmund,
It was great to get your letter. Sorry I haven´t written for so long, but I´ve been very busy. I´ll help you understand why by telling you about my timetable!
First of all, I have found a job. It´s a part-time job, so I have to work 4 hours a day. I work as a cashier in Alimerka supermarket here in Leon. Although it is a very difficult job (I need to get up early and some customers are rude and impatient), I like this job. Anyway, I should be happy to have one with all this unemployment here in Spain! Don´t you think so?
Secondly, as you know, I´ve got my English classes 4 times a week at the School of languages. This is my second year and it is very hard. I have to do a lot of homework and the teacher is very demanding. We are studying present perfect at the moment and also comparatives. The most difficult thing is doing “listening” and, of course, writing different texts. By the way, I have to write an e-mail for my next class and it should be well structured, have 3 or 4 paragraphs, include specific expressions and connectors (so, although, but, because, etc.). Don´t you think it is too difficult for my level!!! Probably, I will need your help. What do you think?
And of course, there´s my family and my social life – I have to take care of my husband and I try to meet my friends almost every week.
What´s your timetable like? Is it more relaxed than mine?
Can´t wait to hear from you!
Love,
