Admission to the Dual Degree option requires an academic average of at least 65% and this average must be maintained to remain in the program during one’s studies. In addition, students must participate in school experience placements coordinated by the Teacher Education Office. Initial admission is conditional upon achieving this academic level at the end of Year 2, Term 2 and on satisfactory completion of a 1-week school experience. Students must then maintain a 65% or better average. Additional volunteer work with youth ages 13-17 is recommended.
A criminal records check will be required of all teacher candidates admitted to the B.Ed program.
