استنكر الأزهر الشريف، ما يتعرض له مسلمي الروهينجا بدولة ميانمار من اضطهاد ما دعاهم إلى الفرار تجاه عرض البحر من الاضطهاد الذي يتعرضون له في وطنهم، حيث رفضت دول الجوار استقبالهم، وما زالوا ينتظرون أن يتحرك الضمير الإنساني لإنقاذهم من الخطر الذي يهددهم في كل لحظة.
وجدد الأزهر إدانته لما يتعرض له المواطنون المسلمون بميانمار، من اضطهاد وتهجير من قراهم، وحرق لمساكنهم ومساجدهم، وحرمان من أبسط حقوق المواطنة، داعيًا دول الجوار لتحمل مسؤولياتها الإنسانية نحوهم، واستقبالهم في بلادهم، وتوفير ملاذ آمن وحياة كريمة لهم.
وطالب الأزهر الشريف المجتمع الدولي ومنظمات حقوق الإنسان ومنظمة التعاون الإسلامي بالتحرك العاجل لإنقاذ المواطنين المسلمين بميانمار من الاضطهاد والتهجير الذي يتعرضون لها، والضغط على سلطات ميانمار؛ لوقف هذه الممارسات التي تخالفجميع الأعراف الإنسانية والأديان السماوية.

Al-Azhar, denounced the Muslim Rohingya in Myanmar State of persecution that invited them to flee towards the sea of persecution against them in their home, where neighbors refused to receive them, and are still waiting to move the human conscience to save them from the danger that threatens them at every moment.And new Al-Azhar condemning the Muslims of Myanmar citizens, persecution and displacement from their villages, burning of homes and mosques, the denial of the most basic rights of citizenship, calling on neighbors to assume humanitarian responsibilities towards them, and take them in their own country, and provide a safe haven and a decent life for them.Al Azhar Al Sharif called on the international community and human rights organizations and the OIC to act urgently to save the Muslims of Myanmar citizens from persecution and deportation against them and put pressure on the Myanmar authorities to stop these practices by the tkhalfgmia humanitarian norms and religions.

He called Al-Azhar the international community and human rights organizations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to act quickly to save the citizens of Myanmar Muslims from persecution and displacement which they are exposed, and the pressure on the Myanmar authorities; to stop these practices Tkhalfjmaa humanitarian norms and the heavenly religions.
