صحة السجناء المصابين بمرض السيدا تتعاون الوزارة في تسهيل تقديم ارعاية لهذا الجانب عبر مركز مكافحة السيدا في اليمن ولكن ما الأشكالية التي تواجه السجين ,
منظموة السجن هي أكثر تعقيدا وأعاقة لخدمة السجين أضف إلى ذلك العاملين القائمين على الرهايية الصحية في اليجون اليمنية وهم في الأساس مرسلين من قبل وزارة الصحة ولكن لا يوجد تفعيل وأهتمام بأقل المستويات نحو السجناء .
هذا إلى جانب الروتين المتبع من قبل أدارة السجن في التعاون مع العاملين الصحيين وتلبية أية أرشادات ونصائح بحيث يتطلب نقل المريض إلى المركز لأجراء كافة الفحوصات الدورية ومتابعة حالة المريض,
حيث أن هناك موظف أداري لأدارة الجن هو المسؤول عن أخراج السجناء المرضى وهذا لديه الكثير من المهام والأنشغال عن الرعاية الصحية.
عدم تنفيذ أية تعليمات صحية ولا يتم تقبلها أو التعامل معها بأي جدية , مالم يكون هذا السجين له حضوة خاصة ولديه القدرة على التعامل مع متطلبات أي خدمة خارج السجن من قبل موظفي السجن بما في ذلك أدارة السجون ,
ويتفاوت هذا التعامل من سجن إلى أخر فعلى سبيل المثال اسجن المركزي في العاصمة أكثر تعقيدا وتعامله مع الرعاية الصحية يعد من أسواء المعاملات التي شهدها السجناء وهناك حالات مرضية لم يتم الأهتمام بها أو تقديم الرعاية الصحية لها بما يليق به كأنسان ومهما بلغ خطئه أو جرمه. فمن لديه القدرة على الدفع والتواصل حينها فقط يمكنه أن يحصل على رعاية قد تفي بالغرض , وغالبية السجناء يعانون من مشاكل صحية تكشفت لنا أكثر حين تم الأستعانة بأحد المنظمات الدولية لعمل فحص شامل والبحث عن الحالات المرضية في داخل السجن ذاته وهنا تبين لنا وجود أعداد هائلة تفوق أي سجن أخر من المرضى. بونسبة 40% من عدد السجناء المتواجدين داخل السجن حينها وبمختلف التشخيصات من أمراض سارية وغير سارية و أمراض مزمنة.
