استيقظ الرجل من نومه وما إن قام من فراشه حتى هرع ليلبس لباسه، وذهب متجها إلى طبيبه المعالج .
وعندما وصل الرجل عند الطبيب، اندهش الطبيب من الرجل !! ويبدو عليه الانزعاج والقلق وعدم الراحة، فقال له الطبيب : (تفضل ادخل وجلس، هل لديك مشكلة).
فقال له الرجل: (مازلت اذكر الأصوات والاضطرابات التي كنت احس بها في قلبي؟)، اجابه الطبيب: (نعم، وأنذكر أنني أعطيتك علاجاً في الموعد السابق)!
اجابه الرجل: (إنني لا أسمعها الآن,!)، فقال الطبيب: (جيد، يبدو أن الدواء قد اظهرت نتيجته بسريعة)، فرد الرجل: (وربما أصبت بالصمم ).
