1. Introduction
The evaporation unit will be use to concentrate the vinasses after the separation of the yeast fraction at the outlet of the fermenters.
The products produced by this installation will be:
- Concentrated vinasses uses as fertilizers,
The evaporator is a 3 effects evaporator, composed of 1 Forced circulation evaporators (new evaporator), and 3 falling film evaporators (existing evaporator revamped by FE).
The product is send at co-current through the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and finally to the 1’st effect. So the concentration is increased at each stage of concentration.
The steam is injected on the thermocompressor of the 1st effect. Vapor will be generate and will go back to the aspiration of the thermocompressor. A part of this vapor (approximately the steam injected in the thermocompressor) is by-passed before the thermocompressor and sent to the second effect to generate vapor again, sent to the 3rd effect.
On the other side, a part of the steam is sent directly to the forced circulation (effect 1’st), the vapor generate is this effect is sent to the 3rd effect.
