The competencies relate to<br>Australian Journal of Environmental Education<br>Tomas, Mills & Rigano, in-press 3<br>abilities in systems thinking, anticipatory thinking, understanding norms and values, strategic<br>thinking, collaboration, critical thinking, self-awareness and integrated problem-solving.<br>Others have identified similar competencies (Van den Branden, 2015), supporting the tenet<br>that ESD enables transition to a sustainable world through acquisition of key competencies and<br>achievement of specific learning outcomes.
