ملخص الدراسة :
هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف على استخدامات الجمهور البحريني للملاحق الرياضية بالصحف المحلية والإشباعات المتحققة منها، وتكمن أهمية البحث فيما للملاحق الرياضية الآن من قوة وانتشار بين قطاع كبير من القراء، الذي انعكس من شغف الجماهير بالرياضة ومتابعتهم لكل صغيرة وكبيرة فيها.
تصنف هذه الدراسة ضمن البحوث الوصفية و اعتمدت على توزيع 400 نسخة استبيان على جميع محافظات المملكة بحسب الكثافة السكانية للمحافظات بالنسبة للبحرينيين فقط، وبينت الدراسة وصف خصائص القراء للملاحق الرياضية وسلوكهم الاتصالي نحو الملاحق بصفة خاصة.
وكشفت الدراسة ان الجمهور البحريني يثق بمصداقية أخبار الملاحق الرياضية الصادرة في مختلف الصحف المحلية ويتابعها كلها مع تفاوت ملحوظ في نسبة المتابعة وتصدر ملحق الأيام الرياضي بنسبة كبيرة، أثبتت كرة القدم انها اللعبة الشعبية الأولى حيث انها المطلب الأول للقارئ، واستكشاف العالم الرياضي وما يدور به من أحداث وحصرية الأخبار وحداثتها من أهم ما يشد القراء، بينما دوافعهم للقراءة في الملاحق والمشاركة فيها ببريد القراء فهي للتعبير عن آرائهم وأفكارهم الرياضية واثبات ذاتهم.
وتتمثل أهم التوصيات في مساعدة القراء على التخلص من الأفكار الخاطئة والتعصب الرياضي لما لها من مصداقية عندهم وبالخصوص من خلال التنبيه على الصحفيين المتحيزين المبتعدين عن الحياد بالطرح، والعمل على وجود مراسلين محليين للتغطية بسبب الاهتمام العالي بالأخبار المحلية من الجمهور ومطالبتهم بحداثة وحصرية الأخبار، وبحث فكرة تكون حسب إمكانيات الملاحق الرياضية لكيفية عمل شبكة مراسلين في الدول الرياضية المهمة، وتبني سياسة أخباريه أكثر جرأه تبسيط الأساليب والابتعاد عن التعقيد بالطرح.
