Thank you for agreeing to participate in this wellbeing survey.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The survey is being conducted as part of the Start Network’s Transforming Surge Capacity project, and is researching staff wellbeing and duty of care practices and approaches within the humanitarian sector.
As part of this research, we are seeking your kind support as a staff member of your organisation, to help us conduct this mapping exercise.
HOW YOU CAN HELP IMPROVE WELLBEING IN THE HUMANITARIAN SECTOR
The questions within this specific survey are aimed at humanitarian staff within agencies, and cover a range of areas regarding your agency’s policies and practices, staff support arrangements, and your experiences related to mental health and staff wellbeing approaches within your organisation. There are also opportunities to add your own views on improving staff care and wellbeing in the humanitarian sector.
The responses and feedback you provide within this survey questionnaire will help to build a picture of current practices within the sector, helping to provide a baseline, or snapshot, of wellbeing practices. This in turn will help to advocate for improvements within the sector, and inform the practical next steps required to support humanitarian personnel. As such, we kindly request for your support to complete and fill out this questionnaire.
Anonymity and confidentiality will be respected, and the focus will be on analysing the data to provide a global understanding of where agencies are regarding wellbeing and duty of care practices, and how you may perceive these to currently be.
WHAT TO DO NEXT?
As the research timeframe is very condensed, we kindly request staff to complete this questionnaire in full by close of play on WEDNESDAY the 19th October. Your help is very much appreciated!
In the meantime, should you require further information regarding the research, or would like to contact us directly, please feel free to email Hitendra Solanki, directly at h.solanki@actionagainsthunger.org.uk
