نغيلا دوروتيا ميركل[1][2] (بالألمانية: Angela Merkel)؛ (17 يوليو 1954 -)، سياسية ألمانية وزعيمة الاتحاد الديمقراطي المسيحي أحد أبرز الأحزاب السياسية في ألمانيا، وتتولى منذ 22 نوفمبر 2005 منصب المستشار في ألمانيا، وهي أول امرأة تتولى هذا المنصب فيها.
حسب مجلة فوربس تعد ميركل أقوى امرأة في العالم لعام 2011، وهي بذلك حازت على الصدارة في قائمة أقوى امرأة في العالم في خمس سنوات.
