ماذا تعني الأنظمة البلورية

كل معدن من المعادن المعروفة يتحدد بشكل بلوري مميز يعتمد على البناء الذري الداخلي .

والبلورة عبارة عن جسم من وسط صلب متجانس التركيب الكيميائي وتحده أسطح مستوية تعرف باسم أوجه البلورة تكونت بفعل عوامل طبيعية تحت ظروف مناسبة من الضغط والحرارة ومرتبة في نظام معين وتتميز بوجود علاقات تماثل معينة .

وتعرف الأسطح المستوية التي تحد البلورة من الخارج بالأوجه البلورية crystal faces)) ، وإذا وجدت الأوجه البلورية كلها أو بعضها فإنها تساعد كثيرا في التعرف على المعادن حيث إنها تعكس الترتيب الذري الداخلي المنتظم الخاص بالمعدن ، وتحدد الشكل الخارجي للبلورة . وفي حالة اختفاء الأوجه البلورية يصعب التعرف على المادة المتبلورة إلاّ باستخدام الأشعة السينية (X-ray) .

وتقسم البلورات إلى سبعة أنظمة بلورية رئيسة وذلك على أساس أطوال المحاور البلورية أ , ب , ﺟ , والزوايا البلورية α ، β ، γ ، وتتفرع من الأنظمة البلورية الرئيسة أشكال بلورية ثانوية متعددة .


والنظم البلورية السبعة هي :

1- نظام المكعب :
ويمتاز هذا النظام بثلاثة محاور بلورية متساوية ومتعامدة ، أي أن :
أ = ب = ﺟ , α = β = γ = 90° ، وتمثل هذا النظام بلورة الألماس .

2- نظام الرباعي :
ويمتاز هذا النظام بثلاثة محاور بلورية متعامدة ، المحوران الأفقيان متساويان والمحور الثالث رأسي وهو أطول وأقصر منهما ، أي أن :
أ = ب ≠ ج ، α = β = γ = 90° ، ويمثل هذا النظام الزيركون .
