Foreign/second language anxiety is defined in various ways. Horwitz, and Cope (1986) have maintained language anxiety as “a distinct complex of self-perceptions, beliefs, feelings, and behaviors related to classroom language learning arising from the uniqueness of the language learning process”. While MacIntyre and Gardner (1994) describe Language anxiety as the feeling of tension and apprehension specifically associated with second language contexts, including speaking, listening, and learning. Anxiety, in general, can be defined as problems which are caused by many psychological factors such as fear, stress, threats, dangers, and unexpected psychological causes.
